Little Curly Shutterbug

Things we learned this weekend:

Laughing is easy and should be done for any reason, no matter how tiny.

You can never watch Little Nemo too many times (if you are two years old, that is).

Green Eggs and Ham is always fun to read, and if you have the entire book memorized, it's even better.

Your toes are never too tiny to get a bright pink pedicure.

Pretend food always tastes better than real food, and you can always have as much ice cream as you want.

Anything can be counted.

There is such a thing as a perfect egg beater.

You are never too young to adopt new technology and amaze your family.

A real camera is way more fun to use than a pretend plastic one.

An expensive camera is more exciting to play with than a cheaper one.

Auntie Tangobaby is a good sport.

Auntie Tangobaby will let you take a picture of her while she takes a picture of you. She'll let you use her camera if you're very very careful.

The world is full of all kinds of things to take pictures of, like stuff on night tables.

Use your flash if you need it. (Just don't blind bunnies and other things with eyes if you can help it.)

Some people like sharks.

Someone can take a picture of you while you are taking a picture of a picture of yourself. That's kind of trippy if you think about it.

You can never be too sweet and loving. If you are two years old, you can teach big people a lot more than they can teach you.

***

I love you, my little curly girl shutterbug. Remember always that I helped you take your first picture.

in the post below? she looks like shirley temple.

except, of course, heaps more beautiful!

i hope she never forgets the hopes you have for her life...or that, once upon a time, you thought she hung the moon and you were every star in her sky. you know? such a great moment to keep close.

I'd bet a new pair of tango shoes that your sister teared up when she read this post. Here's one more thing Little Curly Shutterbug learned, Auntie Tangobaby is the best.

just as when the perfect greeting card makes the recipient cry, and you think to yourself "mission accomplished," I say to you ~sob~ job well done, Auntie Tangobaby. I'm reading your blog in the passenger seat and grateful not to be driving so I can be blind for the moment. I love seeing my Curly Girl through your eyes. And your lens. We're two lucky girls, to have you. Xoxo

Hello hello hello all!

I think you all might have had just as much fun reading this post as I did in my hours with LCG. Thank you all for joining in the admiration party, and for karey m for making me cry first thing this morning (but that's okay, it was good crying). And to some new visitors, like Holly and Mtnhighmama and Abbey, hello hello!

And to lalaland, my baby sister, who will always be the most beautiful baby to me, because she was mine first. Thanks for making Miss Little Curly Girl for all the world to love!

You are magical. I loved the chubby hands on the 'technology' photo. Sweet and loving baby hands.
"Pretend food always tastes better than real food, and you can always have as much ice cream as you want." And who couldn't love a line like that? It's all true; you just put it to a sort of poetry ;)

She has beautiful hands, and I really hope this will send her off on her way to taking pretty pictures just like her aunt. :-)

I was going to tell you how adorable those fat little dimpled hands are and then noticed a bunch of people already said. So, I'm not original, but definitely EARNEST! :-)
