From My Social Secretary
I have a young man in my employ who regularly arranges my social calendar. He is very good at keeping me up to date with fun and interesting cultural events I might enjoy.
I pass this tidbit along, for those of you who are within a reasonable distance of the de Young Museum this weekend. It's opening weekend of Dale Chihuly's exhibit, and admission is free. Get the deets here.

AND, because FogBay is very special and should get more than one shout-out a week, he took an awesome photo of a Chihuly piece at the Legion of Honor, with a surprise creepy story (that's a teaser).
.
Please excuse me now. My chauffeur is waiting for me in my Hispano Suiza.

first of all, i'm so jealous. in a loving-you way.
secondly, i have a thing for dale chihuly. something about the ominous eye patch.
thirdly, i was hoping to ask you to go see this with me next weekend.
boo hoo ~ one less date with tangobaby.
but i still love you.
Let me go first and kinda check it out for you, and then we can go back together and you can tell me all about your thing for guys with eye patches!
Seriously, I know it's going to be a really great exhibit and there's no reason I can't go with you too.
And The Peach would like to go too, I bet!
;-)
Are you kidding me?? Do you really get to ride in that car?
If your answer is yes, I am going to seriously have to rethink my life and pattern it after yours. That's quite a car, after all.
Oh, I love Chihuly, too. Once I used a picture of one of his pieces (looking up into it) to describe my love for Jeffrey.
Have fun! Happy weekend.
Darling Relyn,
You are cracking me up.
The only social secretary and chauffeur I have is The Boy. But he does a pretty good job considering I don't pay him very much.
And no, I don't have a vintage Hispano Suiza (!) because if I did, I'd be so incredibly rich that I could also have a house filled with Chihuly art and have a special guest house in the back yard where you and Sloane would come to see me.
The Hispano Suiza is a very rare and very valuable car. Although if I had to pick, I would much rather have a 1956 Bentley coupe.
Right now I actually don't have a car at all, and with gas prices nearing $5/gallon, I'm going to be enjoying public transporation and my feet until I get me a Sugar Daddy.
Happy weekend to you too, my little firefly.
ok, here's the deal: we each need a sugar daddy, because i want the 1966 aston martin db6 volante cabriolet. and wouldn't that just be so wonderful to get joy rides in each other's fabulous cars? and commission chihuly to make pieces for us. and also, the beds & cabana boys i mentioned to you over on my blog, of course. ;o)
tgif! xxoo!
Dear Ms. Wellspring,
The fantasy worlds that you and I inhabit are so lovely that I'm worried that if we found some Sugar Daddies that then reality couldn't compare.
Maybe we should keep things dreamy because you and I both know from reality how wierd people get when they have a ton of money.
Or, maybe you and I could be the exceptions to the rule and let's see who we can meet that might fund our dream banks!
xo
And here I was thinking having my own dressmaker made me special! :-)
tb, we are absolutely the exceptions to the rules already, so when we become super wealthy and make all our dreams come true it will only enhance that. i have no doubt that even if we were a bit frivolous with our billions & trillions, we'd also be the most generous, blissful, thoughtful richy-riches anyone ever met. maybe it's time i went out & bought those lottery tickets i keep intending to get....
Just so ya'lls know...I did not make it to the exhibit this weekend. It was so crowded and I did not want to wait in line forever.
And Miss Vanessa, I just want you to know that my chauffeur and social secretary exist only in my imagination, so you are still ahead of me with the real, live dressmaker. You lucky girl!
