Photo Interruptus

Um, hello. Did you guys see this:

Search millions of photographs from the LIFE photo archive, stretching from the 1750s (Do they mean 1850s? Not a lot of cameras back in the mid-1700s, I think...) to today. Most were never published and are now available for the first time through the joint work of LIFE and Google.

This is a crazy cool work-avoidance endeavour. Check it out because I'm doing this instead of visiting your blogs and replying to your comments. I'm sorry. I should be visiting you right now.

Or working.

OK, you said 'sorry'.

This is a great excuse for spending the weekend indoors instead of soldiering on out in the Parisian weather, under threat of snow. ;-)

@Bill: I may abandon you at times but it doesn't mean I don't try to have manners. I know when I am bad.

@vanessa: 1. Why are you up so late?! It's very late there (or very early, depending on your way of telling time)! 2. I think you need to soldier on, for goodness sakes! You're in Paris! Who cares about the weather!

No more internets for you tonight. Now be good and go to sleep.

I look forward to looking at this. I read about it the other day and was intending to view it then, but was distracted by a four year old boy. Thanks for the link :-)

I love the work avoidance distractions; they are evolving ever so beautifully. Goodbye Sudoku!! You've been kind. I've found me a new endeavour.

Just don't tell my husband; he thinks replying to comments and reading blogs is already too much of a work avoidance issue!!!

Do you think Chas. Lindburg and Edward VIII (as in and Mrs. Simpson) were the same person?
Also font snobs must stick together.

OK, I accept your apology ;-D! If only because I read about this project in The Grun (that's The Guardian for us readers) the other day and I though it was a good idea and would you believe it I am already thinking of pilfering a couple of images for one post I am writing and I know that I must pay attention to punctuation but it's Saturday night and I am doing my regular blog round.

(breathless). Thanks for your post. Bye bye :-)

Greetings from London.

Thank you TB for the Hot Tip about this site!
I have a cool photo from a Time Life book of some of the first French photographers. I think form the late 1700's. When I find, will send you a pic.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours friend!
Keep tangoing in your fishnets!
I admire you greatly.

You always find the best goodies to share. I've fallen in and I may never resurface. Think of me........
