PS. I realize that I will soon be assassinated by the Comme Il Faut ninjas for photographing these shoes, but I don't care. They're worth dying for (almost).
i'm so glad you rose above your reluctance and joined me at my beloved tango vida....i just knew you'd love it too. and thanks for capturing my even-more-beloved ivy in such a gorgeous moment. her first tango experience ~ what joy!
Even if there was no tango on Cyprus, I would still want to come for a visit!
Dear Psyche,
Funny thing, I say the same mantra, too. It doesn't seem to be working, though.
;-)
Dear Elizabeth,
You would love this little studio. It is so gorgeous. But if you come out, you have to bring Alan, too! (They sell handmade men's shoes, too, that are stunning.)
no, no, no ~ i wasn't referring to your supportiveness of ney & jennifer, buttercup! i was referring to your reluctance to take tango classes in general these past few months. ;o)
I am so happy for Ney and Jennifer! Give them my hugs!
You ARE allowed to photograph shoes that you own and wear. You just can't photograph them if you're selling them. And since you're not selling them, the ninjas will bypass you, I'm sure. :-)
The nicest thing about tango shoes is that it doesn't matter if you are a Tall Pear or a Short Apple or a Waldorf Salad.
Just get a pedicure with Essie's Scarlett O'Hara and put these beauties on and you won't care what your cats do in the shower!
;-)
PS. Just so you know, the way I feel about these shoes is like how I used to feel about needing a pair of Dorothy's Ruby Slippers when I was eight. These silver shoes acutally are encrusted with glitter! Yee haw!
Fantastic blog post. Love it! Have been missing you. Our computer died. Have a spiffy new one (not a laptop) and am glad to be catching up with you. Besos.
I can't say that I started tango because of the shoes (I am wearing a pair of tango shoes at work, tee hee) but it certainly is an incentive to keep dancing. The shoes are definitely a bonus.
I am so glad you got a new computer because a day without Relyn is like a day without sunshine, and I totally mean that!
Lethal-killer-take-you-where-you-want-to-go shoes! Those shoes are a work of art! They surpass ruby slippers. Wonderful photos, of course. I cannot help but adore the tango--though I don't dance it--and admire/envy those who do-- and those who can make tango come alive with words.

What a lovely place.
Dear upfromthedeep,
Uh-oh, the descent into tango is a slippery slope. But very enjoyable!
Hi Ms. Wellspring,
Um, reluctance?! Maybe to walk up those gigantic hills instead of getting a cab, but never any reluctance to support Ney and Jennifer!
I hope Ivy will come back again. She seemed very happy.
Dear phivos,
Tell me about the dancing in Cyprus. Any tango going on there?
;-)
Al ot of dancing in Cyprus including tango ofcourse. You have to visti the place and find by yourself. Welcome!

Hola Tina,
Well thank you for assuaging my fears! ;-)
I didn't want to have to keep looking over my shoulder for the ninjas.
I would be very happy to hug Ney and Jennifer for you, but I bet if you strolled into their studio some random day, they would be so happy!
Someday...? Maybe you can have a stopover in SF on your way from BA to Italy.
Those shoes - GASP! Love them.

Okay, between the shoes and that marvelous photo of Ivy and Robijn, I'm kind of in full tango covet!
Dear j,
You know that Ms. Wellspring and I are going to reel you in someday.
Perhaps the shoes are the hook to tango-ize you...
Come to me, come to me....
Absolutely gorgeous shoes!!

*Besos* to you, too, m'dear. (((hug)))
Stunning shoes and great photos! xoxox
