The Truth Behind The Last Supper
I'm trying to learn about the history of Italian Art to get ready for the trip. We won't see the Sistine Chapel, but it's still worth studying.
This video has helped me a lot. One of the best MP sketches, ever.

Oh, well, see? I learned something from that video already! It was Michaelangelo who painted The Last Supper!! Not that other Italian...
and all he wanted was a "bloody photographer." hehe...
Johanna,
Yeah, funny you should mention it, but I though da Vinci painted The Last Supper, too.
But those Python guys all went to Oxford and Cambridge so they probably know more than us California girls, huh?
PS. That clip is from Live at the Hollywood Bowl. Classic stuff.
Nuit,
Darling, we don't know any bloody photographers, do we?
You don't miss a trick!
;-)
Well, I was only kidding, TB!!! [Sheesh!!}
The famous Last Supper was painted by Da Vinci, although everyone - including MA - pained a Last Supper.
Of course it is possible that they ARE talking about MA's version (with the circus act in the background), which may be why it did not achieve the stature of the OTHER Last Supper :-)
I think I might like paintings with Jello, kangaroos and Mariachi bands, especially if they are painted on velvet!
